Do domesticated animals have a place in the farm of the future? I'm hardly qualified to make that ruling. In fact, probably no one is, if restorative agriculture calls for farms as diverse as the biomes they constitute and create. One thing to still bear in mind: there no such thing as farm without animals. Monoculture vegetable farmers know this best, with their increasing arsenal of pesticides, fatal fences and other retardants. So if borders can't really keep animals at bay, what can farm animals look and sound like?
